Christmas Reflections

It is the most amazing story ever told! No one could make this stuff up - that the God of the universe responded to the rebellion and sin of His creation by taking on flesh and becoming ONE OF US - no longer to look over us, but to become one of us and be WITH us!

Not only that, but to do so in absolute humility, mercy, love and grace. No dominance. No asserting His power as LORD. No wrath, discipline, rebuke, or judgment.

God becomes a baby and we change His diapers.

He grows to demonstrate what allegiance to the Father looks like.

He lives without sin and in servitude to the poor, outcast, broken, and rejected.

He allows Himself to be betrayed all over again (as if the garden wasn't enough).

He takes on the weight of the wrath of God for the sins of the world.

He who knew no sin became sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God.

Love wins.

Kindness leads us to repentance.

Mercy triumphs over judgment.

Oh that I might learn these powerful and stunning Truths of the Christmas story.

The story of God.

The story of us.

Merry Christmas.
